Baillieu Library Print Collection (University Of Melbourne) (1959)
The Baillieu Library Print Collection includes some 8,000 prints ?based on the substantial gift made by Dr John Orde Poynton in 1959? which illustrate the relationship between books and prints found at the Baillieu Library. Printing techniques represented include woodcuts, etchings, engravings, mezzotints, aquatints and lithographs, dating from the late 15th century to the 21st century. Artists include Albrecht D�rer, Heinrich Aldegraver, Jacques Callot, Rembrandt van Rijn, William Hogarth, Francisco de Goya and Lionel Lindsay.
